Mark Goebel
Assistant Director of Development and Partnerships
Mark Goebel has been providing development, operations, and strategic support to the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Immigration Ministry and National Pastoral Migratoria since their inception. His professional ministry experience includes as executive director at the Crossroads Center for Faith and Work at Old St. Patrick’s Church and volunteer manager and drop-in center coordinator at Port Ministries. Mark, who is a Secular Franciscan, served on the apostolic board and retreat teams at Charis Ministries and as a catechist at Saint Clement and Mary Mother of God parishes in Chicago and at Saint John the Evangelist in Streamwood, Illinois where he is currently a parishioner. His earlier work included several years in supply chain consulting and manufacturing engineering. Mark’s formation includes a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies at Catholic Theological Union and Lay Ecclesial Ministry certification at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. He also achieved a Master of Business Administration at Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Penn State University. Mark and his wife live in Elk Grove Village, Illinois where they enjoy the outdoors.
